With great pride I want to announce the final approval of the Brevard County Professional Firefighter's Benevolent Association as an official and legal charitable. With this Federal approval finally in place, we now can accept TAX DEDUCTIBLE contributions to the Benevolent, can solicit to be a part of the United Way deduction, and with the approval given by the membership at the January meeting we will be putting the proceeds from the 2010 boot drive towards it!

This will give us the ability to help multiple charities out (Providing they are legal charitables) and will provide us the chance to give an annual scholarship out to a local deserving student.

This was a dream and goal the Chris and I set forth to accomplish, and we are proud to have finally achieved it! This will give our organization the public recognition it needs to face the future financial issues we will realize and also will provide us the public support we will need to overcome many political issues that may arise. 

Our local has taken another great step forward with this accomplishment and can finally make a difference on other levels in our own community.
